Day 28 and doing better

Well, it is day 28 of Juice fast.  I'm doing better than I was the other day.  One of toughest parts is just missing food.  well solid food...lol

Day 30 is only 2 days away.  I can't believe it has been that long already.  Time really does click by as you look back.  I'll wait till day 30 to wrap up stats.  I'm going to try and go get weighted again on that day.  It could be 20+ to 25 ponds at day 30.  Looks like there are a few new juicers now.  A few buddies watched movie and are already or going to do a juice fast.  I'm excited for them.  You can see a difference in my face and the way my clothes fit.  Don't get me wrong, I still have a ways to go in the weight lose department, but I have gotten a great boost and start so far.  Still waiting on someone to notice that doesn't know what I am doing.  But it will come.

My chair is not getting stretched to the limits.  I think in a few more weeks, I will be able to take the wheel spacers out that make chair wider.  I could probably do it now, but am going to wait a little longer.  When I got the wheelchair 2 years ago, I couldn't even use it until I spaced out wheels.  Now I have 1/2 -3/4 of an inch on both sides.  So, I am probably thinner than I have been in years already.  Also, we have a long hill coming up our drive way, and I was down in basement today and when I came up, it was so much easier and I came up so much quicker.  4-6 months ago, it was a struggle to get up without stopping.  I couldn't lean forward to get a good push since I have a big belly and I weighted more.  Now, I am stroking up.  I have always wanted to do the drive way 10 times in a row and see if I could do it.  In the past, I always knew it was a long shot.  It may be super easy now.

Well, it is late, going to head to bed.  Have a big day tomorrow.  A long one and possibly a mentally draining one.  Will get through it.

Juice well, eat well...

Day 20 - Im losing track of what day it is on Juice...lol

I'm losing track of what day I am on.  So, I had to go back and figure it out.  So, it looks like day 20  The 1st full day was on a Wednesday, so tomorrow will be 3 whole weeks on nothing but fresh juice.  It's awesome.  My belly is almost 3 inches smaller already and my clothes are not snug.  I actually got a shirt on today that I could not get on in the past.  My belt slide to the 3rd hole in the other day.  That's awesome.

So, I am seeing changes in my body.  The Kids and K say my face looks thinner.  I can see it some, but not totally.  It just seems so far to go.  But, the quick results and visuals are a great motivator.  I'm glad I extended the fast.  30 days doesn't see like it will be that hard.  It is getting easier when sitting with family and they are eating.  We have been making better meals for K and kids, and they smell awesome.

Yesterday, she made a Kale bean soup, it looked so good.  I have to resist the food still.  We have had a few events which had food, it was tough with some of the smells, visual, and temptations, but all in all, I am committed to see this through.  I want the 30 day mark and possibly even 60.  It is tough to argue against the results so far.  I really needed something like this to break all the cycles.

I did have a break down in licking a spoon the other day.  I was making a dessert for a church thing, and man, the smell of sugar and memory of how good it taste was overwhelming.  I just did it.  It was so super sweet that I had to go brush my teeth to get rid of taste.  Oh well, a minor slip.  I did taste the broth from soup yesterday, yummy.  I could have just drank that for lunch...lol

I do look forward to eating good food.  I'm not totally sure I can resist the fast food junk food stuff yet.  But, the almost push to turn into their places is going away.  Also, I noticed that the soup was naturally salty, where as teh kids thought it needed more.  So, my taste buds are shifting somewhat.

Been researching the local CSA stuff more.  I think we are getting close to committing to one.  It really is a choice between 2 of them.  One is a longer established farmer, a little less money, but sounds like a little less food.  Versus a smaller guy with a meat option of farm raised meat combined with a little larger food box each week.  He is a newer farmer, so risk element may be higher.  So, we will decide this week.

One last thing, I am struggling with getting water in me.  I just don't drink enough.  You'd think I would not dehydrate with so much juice, but it is more of a food source.  I am a little dehydrated today from almost no water yesterday.  So, I really have to adjust to that.  The drinks and soda will be a trigger for me.  I am hoping to adjust to wanting and desiring more water vs. other drinks.

Well, have a great day...

Juice Day 15

Well just pasted up two full weeks of juicing. The past few days haven't been as bad with food, but I am having a little struggle today. Today I am at school and close to the lunch room and can smell lunch. So guess I'm missing solid food a little today. Again K was awesome in having me ready for today with breakfast and Lunch ready to go. We are working on having some stuff prepared. The night before.

Haven't gotten to weight this week. Will probably go and get weight next week. I did measure my belly. I have lost over 2 1/2 inch around my belly. Plus my face seems slightly thinner. K says she can se it. But I imagine that I will have to lose a lot before someone says something.

My first main goal is 75 pounds. So probably have a ways to go. Probably. Have lost 15 or so.

Well. Back to life. I'll try to add a pic later

Day 14 - Wow 2 weeks...

WOW!!!  Gratz - made it to 2 weeks.  Today has been a better day.  I was actually tired today early on, but took a nap and felt much better afterwards.  This was probably the 1st nap I have needed in 2 weeks.  I have been sleeping so much more soundly.  Plus, my snoring has almost totally stopped.  All within a few weeks.  I have lost over 1 1/2 inches on my belly and chest measurements.  All my clothes are starting to get a little baggy also.  So, no tight clothing at this point.  It is a little odd to me to not be pulling and tugging on clothes or to feel self conscious about them being stretched.  So, If this keeps up, well it will, I will be needing different cloths.  It will be so nice to have to by new clothes because I am getting smaller, vs buying when My other clothes are too tight.  So, that will be a new thing that hasn't happened in decades.

The juicing has been going well.  I have stuck with simple kinds of things with 2-4 ingredients.  With the fruits having apples and the veggies using carrots.  That just reminded me that I am out of apples...oh crap and oh well, will have to make a produce run tomorrow.

I have been researching more about CSA's and growing some food on our own.  we did get bad news that our CSA option fell through, but they did supply a back up farmer for us.  I will have to find out about that in the next few days.  Also, the Green Beans thing won't deliver to us in Crestwood, we are only a few miles outside of delivery area right now, so I might see if they will bend on it a little.  So, the whole process of getting food or organic stuff is worrying me some.

I have probably watched too many documentaries about the food industry and it is scary to say the least.  But they all come back to growing our own food and support the local farmers and farmers markets and doing CSAs.  So, I am seeing that to be a part of our future.  Just putting the pieces in place in and learning more about it all.  I will post something once I have choices that are more solid.

Well, hang in there if you are taking this adventure and you can do it.

Day 10 - Yeah!!!!

Well, I made it 10 whole days on juice fast.  I wouldn't say it has been easy, but I am glad I have done it.  I still don't feel free of some of the food addictions.  I feel as if I could hit a drive through right now.  So, in that I am extending the fast to 30 days.

It hasn't been too bad over all.  I don't seem to get hungry very often.  But, I do still feel some anxiety towards food at different time.  For example, I seem to have an internal panic when the kids are eating my fresh fruit and veggies.  It should be a great thing that they are eating great stuff, but I feel almost a panic like I won't have food to juice.  So, I am dealing with that.  Plus, when preparing them meals, most of which have been better lately, it is tough to not lick a spoon or take a bite.  So, I really want to get some feeling of control over the food and the cravings.  I figure more time will help me get that, plus weight is coming off at about a pound per day.  I figure also that more time will help get a basis of what the future food plans are or how to eat right and be more successful with  health and eating options and changes.

Juice - Day 9

Man, today was tough at times.  Had a few big things come up and it wore on me emotionally.  I really struggles with self defeating thoughts.  I was starting to get real bummed out about just about everything.  Also, I have really been trying to make great meals for kids during this whole deal so they can enjoy great food.  It was so difficult making them chicken enchiladas today.  Make, I just wanted to eat the bowl of chicken.  Plus, I made fresh guacamole and it smelled so freakin good.  I just wanted to drink it.  Would that count as juice??? lol

So, for some reason, today seemed tougher.  Maybe my mind is worried about the 10 day and make a choice thing.  Also, it was a few things wearing on me that made it a little tougher.  I also, seem to worry about having enough food or juice stuff.  We have plenty, I just worry for some reason.  Guess it is an anxiety towards food. Feelings of not enough or deprivation.  Guess I get to work through all that fun stuff.

Well, I made it today either way.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a break through day since today was tougher.

Anyways, i'm off to bed and calling it a wrap.

Day 8

Another great day.  day 8 and clicking along.  I will say it was tough today at school when I went down teh hall and could smell the whole place smelled of french fries.  OMG, I gotta get back to my room and drink my juice...lol

K was so awesome in sending me on my way today fulling juice ready.  We had woken up late and she still had me ready to go.  What a blessing.  Full morning juice and a backup in my lunch box with a veggie also.  Think it was left from yesterday, but was still yummy.  All the juice today was great.

E2(my 2nd child with an E name), wanted to make a fruit juice tonight.  Man, it has tang and zing.  Pineapple, apples, oranges, blackberries, strawberries, 1/2 a peeled lemon and I threw in a whole lime at the end.  That may have been a mistake, man, it was so good, but so zippy.  My mouth still is tingling from it.  Had to save some of it for morning.

Well, just wanted to get a quick note in.  Am missing food some, but just going to ride it out.  10 days looks so easy from this point.  Still trying to wrap my head around 30 or even 60.  I did feel a little thinner today.  My chair seems to be a little wide in a few places around my legs where they tend to push out.  Will keep and eye on it.

Day 7 and going strong

Well, made it a whole week.  It has been going well.  don't really see 10 days as a problem from this point.  Tomorrow will be my 1st full day working again, so a new challenge there.  I actually shared with a few people what I am doing today.  Not in a pushy way, just a matter of fact of this is what is right for me right now and totally at the beginning of this journey.  I have been wrestling a little with fear of failure.  It is so hard to imagine being different and it has been so long since I have had a life of health that I really don't know what it will be like or where I am going.  This juice fast is a big part of sorting all that out.  I want to have control and hope about what I eat and put in my body.  I don't want to be a series of food addictions and habits that are driving to poor and disastrous health.  I want to learn and live a new and healthy way.

Today has been a fruit juice in morning.  Heavy on the apples, and a few oranges.   Then lunch was a large glass of carrots, celery, radishes, kale greens and an apple. With dinner being a little more mellow with carrots, finishing off celery and spinach, with 2 apples to sweeten it up.  Probably over a 100 ounces of juice today.

So, all in all a week of success for me.  Gratz...

It's been a tough week for K, she has been doing so great, but also battling detox and being sick.  Some of the juice is hard for her to stomach and probably detoxing her too much.  She has backed down some due to being so congested.  we actually had to go to doctor yesterday and got antibiotic.  She is holding off a little for it to see what happens.  The big saving thing for her has been that we got a humidifier for her.  She was too dried out to get the junk out of her lungs.  So, that has been a huge deal for her to feeling better today.  But as day wore on, she wasn't feeling as well again.  Her coughing has started to soften some, but I think with so many days of hard coughing and no sleep, her body just hurts and her chest hurts.  I'm praying for a great night of sleep for her and tomorrow will be a great day.  I will say that I probably would not make 7 days alone without her.  One of the major changes and strength so far has been her support and wanting me to be happy and successful.  I am so grateful for her and her support.  It helps me look ahead to what is possible and what can be accomplished. All in that I don't have to travel this adventure alone/  The odds are so in our favor together.

I have also been researching different whole food vs. raw diets.  Not sure where I am on it all.  So, just seeing how people do it and how it will work in our family.

Well, Eat well...

Juice day 5

Well, yesterday, I started feeling pretty good.  No headaches and energy seemed fairly high.  Today, I am a little tired, but really only slept a few hours last night due to staying up late and getting up early.  Probably should have taken a nap, but really been trying to stay up so I can get sleep cycle in order also.

We are getting good at the juices and judging how much it takes to make stuff.  I have been doing a balance of veggies juice and fruit.  Mostly fruit in the morning and maybe at night.  Been trying to juice veggies a few times per day.  I'm probably taking in 75-100 ounces of juice per day right now.  I'm probably not drinking enough water on side, but trying to pick up pace on that.  here are pics of lunch yesterday.  It was yummy.

K, on the other hand, is still feeling like crap.  I'm hoping that she will start blogging soon.  But, she has been feeling terrible.  If it doesn't clear soon, she may need to stop.  I think she is taking a lot of water intake also and maybe detoxing too fast.  She thought it might be an allergic reaction to some veggie or something.  But she thinks it may be some med detox going on.  It is almost an allergic reaction to past medicine for her.  I'm worried about her.  She did try to eat some egg whites and toast to absorb stuff and it seemed to help some earlier today.  Also, some broth and veggie tomato soup.  We are trying to figure it out so she feels better.

For me.  I am doing better with food craving.  Still want solid food.  Made the kids a salad tonight with chick peas on it, and man, I wanted to down whole bowl of them.  We did go to a game night party with a few friend the other night.  There was cookies, and rice crispy treats.  We never had one.  It was tough seeing them, but really not too bad.  We did so great, and are doing so great to make it to day 5.

I am wondering how long I can go.  I did lose 5 lbs. in 5 days.  That is great.  I really wanted a big huge number of lose this past week, but it is 1st week, and who knows what my body will do with disability and wheelchair stuff.  I was asking myself, at what level is it worth it.  would 1 pound be ok for a week, or does it have to be more.  Well, I will have to find a place with that, but I am lighter today than I was last week.  I am actively involved in my food choices and lifestyle changes.  Those 2 things alone are great.  It's still tough to imagine what food will be like.  That is part of why I like the juice.  I can be doing something great for me and my body, while trying to figure all that part out.  I did get a couple organic/farmer market cook books.  It is almost like looking at forbidden pictures.  Like, oh baby, doesn't that look good...lol

I will say, I am currently drinking the worse juice I have done all week.  It taste like I dug up dirt and liquefied it.  I'm only drinking it since I don't want to waste stuff, but man, it better be worth a few pounds to drink this.  I tried beets for 1st time, and I don't think i washed enough or should have taken off greens or something.  I will try peeling them without greens tomorrow.  But right now it is rough.
2 beets, 8 carrots, 1/2 red pepper, cucumber, green apple, 3 celery huge glass of dirtness...ugh

Oh well, onto another day.  Day 6 will be here soon.  I have been sleeping great.  K, not so well due to being sick.  Hope that all changes tonight.

Loaded w/ Vegetables...

Man, we went to the grocery(Meijers) and loaded up on fruit and veggies.  The prices were not too bad.  K wanted an all green apple juice... Very simple and good.  I made up an apple, orange, lemon with a touch of cantaloupe.  It was really good.  The kids loved it and were mooching way too much off of it...lol

K has been feeling pretty bad today and yesterday.  She woke up feeling better today, but got a little worse as day wore on.  I'm hoping she wakes up well rested tomorrow.  All in all we both have been sleeping well, but low energy at much of the day.  Figure that will change for us soon.  Seems like our energy goes in spurts.  Then almost like you need to crash.  We re-watched the Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead video again today.  Guess we needed a little encouragement.  Grateful we have made it through day 2.

I'm wanting to raid the frig right now.  Everyone is asleep and I would normally grab something at this quiet hour.  I better get to bed.  It will be a new day tomorrow.

Afternoon - Juice day 2

Had a great juice this after noon.  Was a mix of 8 carrots, 3 celery, 1 yellow pepper, 2 apples, 2 baby cucumber, and a small amount of zucchini.  The juice was rather sweet for a veggie juice.  it made over 32 oz of juice.  We split it 2 ways.  Figure that we juice around 4:30, so will probably need something later.

Heading to the store to get more fruits and veggies.  Want to make sure we have enough for tomorrow and weekend.  Also, want to pick up a couple 32 oz Naglene bottles for when we are out and away from home.  Tomorrow K has to work and I want her to have juice she needs with her and I have a few days subbing already next week.  So we will need to work out how to have juice for during day to get us until we get home.  Just another part of the journey.

We also were checking into some fresh food choices in our communities.  Foxhollow farms (www.foxhollow.com) is offer CSA, community Supported Agriculture boxes.  It is all prepay, so checking that option out and Green BEANS delivery is a local/regional operation that offers home delivery of different size boxes of organic fruits and veggies.  So, checking that out also.  Green BEANS, is a little more expensive week to week, but can be started right now where as the CSA box will not start until later May, but we need to pay over next few months.

Juice today.. Juice day 2

This morning we juiced a whole pineapple that was peeled, a few left over tangerines we had,  a few handfuls of cranberries, and a few handfuls of blackberries and a peeled lemon.  It was tasty and good with a little kick.  It made over 32 oz. of juice.

Lunch time - If you can even call it lunch time, we Juiced up the salad that the kids didn't finish last night.  IT looked a little rough.  Probably wont do that again, a head of lettuce we had left over that wasn't probably going to get eaten, 2 baby cucumbers, 8 carrots and 2 apples.

Both have been quite yummy.  Trying to do different mixes to see what flavors work for us.  We don't want the eating grass taste so much.  I figure the veggie juice is tougher to get down usually.  We are probably more use to fruit flavor juices vs. a veggie style juice.  But, our taste for it is definitively increasing.

Day 5 - Juice day 2

Well, I know we missed yesterday.  It wasn't a banner day for us.  We actually did do great with our 1st full day of juicing.  But honestly, we kinda felt like crap.  K was in the worse condition with being sore in her muscles and just feeling almost flu like.  I was kind enough to offer up some massage in her legs that were killing her and it seemed to help some.  I was just kinda tired and lethargic.  I did go in for a half day of work and did my job, but wasn't super interactive with kids.  I do substitute teaching.   I didn't lay down through out day.  Trying to just sleep at night, so I was dragging on and off with energy.  K, could even smell chemicals in her hands that she hasn't used in weeks.  So, it's trying to get out of her body somehow.  I noticed that my skin is breaking out also on my face and arms and back some.

But, we made it!!! 1 day down, who knows how many to go.  We did a fruit type juice in the morning and veggie stuff through out day.  We were not really hungry much.  But, I did get hungry towards end of day.  I was going to do another juice, but decided to try some water and it seemed to settle me.  I didn't wake up feeling hungry either.  We have been trying different recipes of juice.  Trying to figure out amount of stuff vs. output of juicer.  It's been kinda fun.  We are trying different mixes of stuff to find flavors that we don't have to choke down, but there is some of that too.

I will say, it was tough being in kitchen while kids cooked yesterday.  I'm wrestling some with food craving of feeling a lose for it.  Sometimes, even anxiety.  when I went to the school I was at yesterday, they had a few dozen cupcakes on the counter and I just had to look away.  Same with passing vending machines.  I'm really just battling old behaviors right now.  A typical day would include 2-3 24oz. diet Cokes and probably a vending machine run for a candy bar of some sort.  I didn't really drink much besides the soda, maybe some flavored drink for dinner like a Crystal light of something like that.  food wise it was probably something processed and meat in most meals.  Fast food was probably 3-4 times per week in there somewhere while running around or just hungry.  So, I'm dealing with a lot of eat whenever and eat whatever.  No real boundaries on anything.  I will say I was changing some of that before.  Before this, I had lost about 20 lbs over   last 6-9 months already.  But, being so overweight, no one and even myself noticed.  I could tell my over sized clothes were not so tight.  Hoping to go down quite a few sizes to something more normal.

But all in all, we made it through day 1 of juicing and encouraged that we did.  I'll do a seperate post with what we have juiced so far today.

Day 3 - Juicer is here!!!

Well it's day 3 and Juicer is in....

We didn't get juicer in until later in day.  So we had the smoothie in the morning and a big salad with the left over Quinoa from last night.  Man it was so good.  We waited until tonight to do some juice.

I got very hungry late in day.  Kids had afternoon stuff and I got caught between meals and away.  Bad move.  I was struggling with it a bit.  Driving past those drive thrus were tough.  Plus, was driving around earlier and a few buddies with me got a big hot chocolate and offered one to me, or a diet coke..man, it took a lot to say no.

We tried 2 different juices.

The 1st was a Spinach, Apple, baby Bok choy, cucumber, Celery
The 2nd was Carrot, Apple, Spinach, Ginger Root

I liked the 1st one and K didn't like it
She liked the 2nd one better, and I didn't care too much for it

each made a lot of juice, 2 glasses full.  It was potent stuff.  K's belly wasn't felling too good and I felt like I was high on sugar.  It did take a little to get the juice down.  It is a big adjustment.

I was a big moody today, mostly later when I was hungry.  We did sleep well last night.  Hopefully that will continue.  I actually woke up a few hours after we went to bed and thought we'd been down the whole night.  We did get a good 30 minute ride in on our indoor trainers.  Mine is a handcycle on a computrainer. Thought I'd throw a pic in for that.

Well, tomorrow will be Day 4 - Juice 1.  We will do a whole day of nothing but juice.  A little nervous, but we will see how it goes.  Heading to the 10 day mark.  That will be 10 days from now.

Day 2 - Forgot to mention food

Well today went well overall food wise.  Have had some hunger issues, but not too bad.  Mostly fighting old habits.  It is a little later now and Man, I am craving some chocolate.  Well here is what went in today...

Breakfast - Fruit smoothie of 1 1/2 bananas, a apple, @ a cup of pineapple and about 1 cup of soy milk.  Was very creamy and almost like a shake.

Lunch - Was just a protein smoothie drink - Think chocolate flavor...Was good

Dinner - was delicious - we love lettuce wraps and made a Quinoa and Black Bean Lettuce wrap. It had Bok Choy, red and yellow peppers, Black Beans, onion and red and regular Quinoa all topped with avocado and a peanut sauce we pulled together.  so yummy and we were full very quickly.

Today we bought huge amount of fresh food to eat over transition period and to be ready for juicing once juicer shows up...hope tomorrow..

Let me see if I can recall what we got:

  • huge bag of organic carrots
  • Baby Bok choy - they were so cute
  • Gala Apples - 12
  • Blackberries - 2 quarts
  • Red and Yellow Peppers - 3 each
  • Bibb lettuce for Wraps - 2
  • Honey dew
  • bag of Pears
  • Celery - 2 lbs
  • Ginger Root
  • Avocado
  • mini cucumbers
  • Spinach - Huge Bag
  • Lemons - a bad of 12
  • Lime
  • Strawberries - quart
I think a few other things were there also.  It was 2 huge boxes of fresh food.  Think it was about 85 bucks or so.  Mostly from Costco.  I know this isn't my ideal of local agriculture, but that will come as season changes from winter.  We are doing what we can to get on track and make better choices.  The social consciousnesses stuff will fall into place as we get better about it all.  we have researched a lot of local resources and are very excited once growing season begins.  We will be very blessed with what is close by.

Will probably grab a piece of fruit before bed and call it a successful 2nd day.

Day 2 - G - Tired on and off

Well on to day 2. My energy had been very up and down today. Didn't sleep long enough and had to get up early again now that school is back in session with kids. I totally had to lay down for a nap In the early afternoon. My energy seemed best after eating. I really haven't struggled touch with being hungry. But I do find my old habits of fridge cruising lingering. We just don't have great snacks right now and most of food arroyos house is off limits. We did make a trip to CostCo for a huge supply of veggies. The prices were fairly good. And we got a lot.

Juicer still not in, but we are ready when it does show up. We both are ready for the 10 day deal. Maybe even longer. It was tough roaming store and seeing all the bad food that taste good. Oh well, once I'm on track that stuff won't appear good anymore.

Also, took pictures last night of face shots and a upper body shot.  I was almost sick looking at them.  It has been amazing the power of denial has been.  I just can't post those just yet.  Maybe after some success, I will feel better about it all.  It was a shocker for both of us and a lot of oh man, really...

But, on bright side, we are heading in right direction and probably light and healthier today than we were last night...

Day 1...G

Well, so far, have made it through day 1.  Our Juicer is not in yet, but we have been making adjustments in food already.  More fresh veggies and cutting out other stuff.  Most of what I have found in form of research or info, suggest a slight transition period before going all juice.  So today we had:

Breakfast: a smoothie/protein this morning
Brunch: B-day dinner at mom's - Small pork chop, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, corn bread, and black eye peas.
Midday drink:  I was hungry when getting some, so I made a apple & Banana smoothie w/ Soy Milk
Dinner: A big Salad

Well, not a bad day.  The Brunch was a pre-planned thing that we really had to be at.  The food was good over all, and my main goal was not to over eat and kill whole day.  Plus, didn't want to put off starting.  So, the next few days will prob have some normal meals mixed in.  We just figure that is way it will be.  Plus, we have kids to feed.  That will probably have its own set of challenges.  But tonight, they got a nice side salad to compliment their dinner.  All in all, they seem supportive.  Hopefully that will hold up over how ever long this goes with juice fast.

We are looking to hake overall changes in family food choice.  We figure that by leading by example will be best approach.

Well, here are my basic goals.  I had my last Diet Coke last night.  I thought I would cry when I went for last drink and I had already drank it.  But, sadly we are parting ways.  Bye bye dear friend...lol  also, I want to kick sugar addiction.  This kinda scares me some.  Sugar or versions of it are in just about everything.  Which leads to a whole food/ Raw type diet after juice fast.  I'm not sure where I am on meat at this point, but leaning to cut it down a lot, if not totally take it out of diet all together.  I do want and need to lose a huge amount of weight to get to a healthy level.  This will probably take most of not all year. Maybe longer.

Part of reasoning for juice fast is to just get it done and not torture myself with small changes and setting myself up for failure with not making real changes.  I am committed to big changes that will change my whole life and health.  I know my personality and I know that I am great at 2-3 months of just about anything.  So, I know without a doubt I can make a huge impact and capable of extreme changes to get things cleaned out and on the right path/  My body truly needs to get shocked and detoxed of so many years of poor eating habits.  I will do this.  It looks like once we start the total juice fast, K and I are committing together to a 10 day juice fast or feast.  We may take a few days after juicer shows up to make transition, then 10 days will kick in.  Honestly, we are both very excited about whole process and adventure.

We feel resistance from outside world, but to bad for them.  Stand back and watch something amazing happen...
